Timothée Chalamet was born on December 27, 1995, in New York City to mother Nicole Flender, a Broadway dancer-turned-real estate agent, and father Marc Chalamet, who is French and works for the United Nations. Timothée — whose older sister, Pauline Chalamet, is also an actor — grew up bilingual and is fluent in French. Prior to becoming a movie star, Timothée honed his acting skills at NYC’s prestigious LaGuardia High School while simultaneously nabbing small roles on TV, in short films and off-Broadway. After graduation, the actor briefly attended Columbia University and New York University.
