The Rice Portrait of Jane Austen

The Rice Portrait is the only oil painting of Jane Austen in existence. Disputed for many years, this painting of Jane Austen by Ozias Humphry, painted in 1789, is now proved to be correct. All that remains is for the painting to be officially authenticated as Jane Austen.
