Negotiations between the clubs are ongoing.If a deal can't be brokered for the 25-year-old, Tottenham could turn their attention to Benfica defender Ruben Dias, according to Romano.Following the August departure of stalwart Jan Vertonghen, Jose Mourinho has identified central defense as a key area that requires strengthening.
