I have been testing P&S | Brake Buster Total Wheel Cleaner for the past two years, and it is my choice when it comes to the best overall wheel cleaning. It’s affordable in price so it makes a great choice if you have a higher volume detail shop. This wheel cleaner can be used on both the tire and the wheel itself. Works safely on alloy, painted, powder coated, and bare metal wheels. What you need to know Safely cleans brake dust and road grime on all wheels Unique gel that clings to the surface Non Acid cleaner safe for all OEM finishes High foaming Made in the USA Jason’s Thoughts and Recommendations I will use Brake Buster as my regular wheel maintenance cleaning product. I dilute this product 5 to 1 (meaning 5 parts of water to 1 part brake buster). You can use a p&s spray empty bottle or what I personally prefer is the IK Foam Pro 2. I will work one wheel at a time in a cool spot out of the sun (Jason’s Tip: Do not let any chemicals dry on any surface of your vehicle), I start by spraying the wheel with Brake Buster and agitating it with a Wheel Woolie, Work Stuff Wheel Mitt, and my favorite Work Stuff Brush. I then rinse and double check making sure the wheel is free of brake dust. For really dirty wheels and tires I tend to reach for dedicated products like an acid-based wheel cleaner and a straight degreaser, but that is just my personal preference. I have not tried this product on wheels/tires that are extremely dirty. I like that this can be used for both wheels and tires because it saves time, even if it's just a little. Also, it's fairly inexpensive and comes from a brand I trust. Overall, I'm very pleased.
